Having children while you are a student makes life chaotic and complicated, but it can be done. Take it from me, a stay-at-home mother of two rowdy boys. You can achieve your goals, get those A’s, and even earn scholarships while you are caring for them.
Don’t forget, being a student and a mom can be difficult, taking time for yourself is very important. Find hobbies that interest you, take bubble baths, buy that new pair of jeans you have been eyeing. Feeling good about yourself, and your abilities is the first step to mastering the student mom life.
For those of you who may have stumbled on my page, who may not be a mom, I have helpful hints for you too. I’ve done both. I started motherhood just a short year after starting college, and I can tell you right now both are difficult. It helps to have another student, even if she isn’t in the same position as you, who can show you ways to make the grades with less effort.
Here’s to being a student mom in probably the best generation of technology. Now it is so much easier to find people to share your journey with. Welcome to mine!
