Thanks for coming back for Day 2 of my 30 Days of Me blog series. I’m doing this series so that my followers can get to know a bit more about me, plus it’s kind of fun to dig into myself a little more. We often forget who are when we become moms or start college or work, or all of the above.
If you’re a blogger joining in and you’d like to take the 30 Days of Me challenge, just make your own 30 Days of Me graphic and write your first post. Make sure you link back to me on Day 1, so others know where you got the challenge, and leave me a comment with your post link so I can follow your journey also!
Lessons of a Student Mom has only been live just over a month, but I truly feel like I am doing something I love finally. I have always wanted to write and I have always had a love of helping others. The name for my blog honestly just came to me one night (cliche I know) and it was like the two years of contemplating about starting a blog were wasted time. I couldn’t believe that of all the topics I had considered, helping other moms through a college education wasn’t one of them. This blog, to me, means that just maybe I can help someone avoid some of the struggles I’ve made.
While the name doesn’t hint at it per say, I do include a weekly dose of Mental Health/Mental Illness discussion because it is the reason I am in school and the reason I want to help others so much. I am a huge advocate and a welcome ear to anyone who just needs someone to talk to. Mental health is an important factor in college success, so naturally, I have incorporated it into my blog.
I’ve struggled throughout the past 7 years with going to college on-and-off and I just want to help other mamas get through it. College is such a huge accomplishment and I have succeeded in finding the methods that get me the grades I want. Now I’m going to share them with all of you.
