30 Days of Me Day 20: Speaking of Marriage

30 Days of Me Day 20: Speaking of Marriage

Have you ever met someone and just knew that they would be a part of your life forever? Whether it be a friend or something more, it can happen. Sometimes you meet someone and you just click. You just look at this person and think to yourself, “I’m going to marry him.” Now to give you a better glimpse at who I am, I wasn’t the girl who dreamt of marriage, her wedding,  or her “dream husband.” It just wasn’t something I thought about. I was always goal and career oriented. But, when I met Kenny I knew that I wanted him in my life for a long time, and I definitely thought about marriage

For me, it was my boyfriend. We just connected right away and I couldn’t have imagined a better person to spend my life with and start a family. Kenny is most definitely the person I plan on marrying. Today’s prompt, if you haven’t guessed is “Someone you see yourself marrying/being with in the future.”

Someone You See Yourself Marrying

I cannot wait until marriage is something we can manage. We've had a great relationship and I know theres more to come.

Today’s challenge prompt was so super easy, to be honest. I’ve spent the past (almost) 9 years with Kenny and I’ve known for a long time that he is the one I’m spending the rest of my life with. It’s an awesome feeling to have someone who you can call your best friend and your life partner. I absolutely love him and have no fear sharing that with the entire world. He has been such a great boyfriend, and father to our children, that I wouldn’t dream of not having him in my life.

I really do consider myself to be a very lucky girl. Finding someone who cares so deeply for me, my interests, and my happiness is a dream come true. Marriage is definitely in our future and we’ve discussed it plenty of times. I can’t wait until that day comes, but I’ll try to be patient.

We met when I was just 16 years old. Our relationship wasn’t always as easy-going as it is now. We have had our struggles and fights. Big fights. But the difference is, we got through it together. We stayed united through everything. This is the reason, I feel, that we are so strong today. I wouldn’t turn to anyone else if I’m struggling. He is my foundation and my security blanket.

Until Tomorrow

I enjoyed sharing my future with you. Have you met the person you see your future with? Are you struggling to get through a difficult point in your relationship? Stay tuned because tomorrow on #30DaysofMe I’m going to talk about what makes me happy.
